GoHome.ph processes personal data in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have over your information.
Information we collect
We collect account details (name and email address), one-time login code records, login sessions and device/browser information, listings and favorites you create, inquiries and lister replies, and support or rental-search requests. If you enable notifications, we store a push notification subscription for your device. Uploaded property photos and optional profile photos are stored with our image storage provider.
Why we collect it
Your information is used to operate your account, publish and manage listings, deliver and store messages between users, respond to support and rental-search requests, keep the platform secure, and meet legal obligations. The legal basis is your consent, the necessity of providing the service you asked for, and our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse.
Who can see your information
Published listings and the lister's display name are visible to the public. When you send an inquiry, the lister can see your name and email address. Our support team can access account and request details to help resolve issues. Other users cannot see your saved favorites, draft listings, or private conversations.
Service providers
A few outside providers help us run GoHome.ph, and we share only the minimum information they need: our image storage provider for uploaded photos, our email provider for one-time login codes, and a push notification service if you enable notifications. If you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics processes your browsing activity on GoHome.ph to help us understand site usage. They can only use your information to provide services to us, not for their own purposes.
How long we keep your information
We retain account and listing information for as long as your account is active, and messages and requests for as long as needed to provide support and resolve disputes. When you delete a listing or favorite, it is removed from public view immediately. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through support.
Keeping your information secure
HTTP-only session cookies, one-time login codes instead of stored passwords, and access controls all help protect your information. No online platform can guarantee absolute security, so keep your email inbox secure, since it’s used to sign in.
Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
As a data subject under Philippine law, you have the right to be informed of how your data is processed, to access and correct your information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to request erasure or blocking of data that is no longer needed, to data portability, and to be indemnified for damages from a data breach.
